SM Pampanga Informatics Memories

// September 7th, 2007

A few years ago, I tried to keep up with a geeky bf through learning computer stuff. Informatics, a relatively new computer school back then, made this possible for me. Although I have to admit that I had not really learned much that I didn’t know before, it was still a great experience for me. What contributed to my not learning much was that my classmates are really all computer newbies that they can’t even type well, not even the “pindot” system (wherein you just use your index finger to type).

Well, what can you expect from a Computer Basics short-term course. I got tricked by the MS Office course title.

What I liked most about my decision to take that computer crash course is that aside from being a nice addition to my virtual assistant resume’, it also introduced me to French Baker, the bread haven and to some interesting personalities. :-)

Aside from the usual cakes and brownies, I got to know how heavenly crepes are - especially the mango crepe and the Danish… OMG!

Whenever I go to SM San Fernando, I can’t resist the temptation of reminiscing bitter-sweet memories that Informatics and French Baker gave me. There’s that uber-engaging baking sessions that you can watch. The long commute from Angeles City to SM Pampanga. The funny computer basics lessons. The long snack breaks and the weird classmates. I even remember having a classmate who introduced himself as a professor from one of the most popular universities. I vaguely remember how he looks but I can’t forget about his indecent proposal! He told me that if ever anyone hurts me, I just have to give him a call and he knows a lot of killers for hire who will take care of that person. LOL! Some professor, eh.

    very inconsiderate!
    Employees of French Baker, SM San Fdo., Pampanga including the duty supervisor today (Oct. 06,2007, Saturday),(Well, my big mistake! I did’nt even get a chance to get their names and post it here. but for sure they know it’s them i’m talking about here.) (Management, pls. be aware of this.) were very INCONSIDERATE! THOUGHTLESS, UNKIND, & DISCOURTEOUS! They lack initiative & maybe don’t know their job roles & descriptions that well. How would you deal with a diner & it’s good food if the employees are very bad! SUCK!
