Moi and mi familia rarely go out to dinners these days so even though I’m chasing a deadline today, I still bravely told everyone to give the TV a break and let’s eat out for dinner.
I’ve asked my youngest bro to decide where to go this time and he revved our old L300’s engine towards Clark. I thought he’s got one resto in mind but he later on confessed that he actually was just looking for a new place to go to. But since it’s already 10:30pm, we landed nowhere. So off we went going round and round until I remembered Zapata’s, the Mexican food restaurant. While trying to help myself not to drool over my fantasies of burrito and quesadilla,
I was knocked on the head when I saw the board that says Zapata’s is only open from 11am to 10:30pm. Darnit!
So we’re left with my niece’s choice - Jollibee, which she calls “bibi”, whatta precocious 21-month old kid, right? She’s linguistically-challenged, like her tita, but that she compensates with her sign language skills. LOL!
We ordered a bucket meal - Treat 3, it’s called. Oh and because I can’t get past my unsated burritto craving, I got my brother to buy me and my dad special shawarma. From Mexican to Persian. Haha. Shawarma is Persians’ delight, right?
