While doing my regular job search for everyone else I know who’s looking for a new job, I discovered that JobStreet Philippines has a new feature - Featured Job.
I guess the difference between a featured job and an ordinary job opening post is that the recruitment staff paid more for its job post to stand out.
When I researched about this feature, I got led to the Classifieds section’s “Featured Job” details in stead of the common job posts. The classified section allows job ads to be posted for a lower rate $18 - $25.
This is the employer version of the featured resumes or something to that effect, which is mainly, for a certain fee, one option for job seekers to get their resumes highlighted whenever they use it when applying for any JobStreet job ads.
I wonder if it this kind of feature will considerably improve the results that employers desire from job listing sites like JobStreet. I mean, even if it’s noted as a Featured Job, if your qualifications doesn’t match that job’s requirements, what’s the use, right? Or maybe there’s just another set of advantages that a featured job gets that’s not seen by jobseekers’ naked eyes.
