One of my private messages from Pinoyexchange is an ad regarding PLDT WeRoam. I clicked the link and I can tell you, PLDT WeRoam’s ad is quite enticing. It has shown various vacation spots and said that any of them could be an employee’s office.
My newfound wanderlust got the best of me. Right there and then, I knew I have to know more about this Smart and PLDT connivance to deliver wireless broadband service. As a work at home but suddenly turned into a footloose person, PLDT WeRoam can be of great help to “widen” my horizon. In short, it will make me wander off farther without missing my deadlines. However, since I haven’t given it a shot yet, I’m not quite sure of how it will perform.
So far, what I have gathered from barangaywireless is that with GPRS, its speed can reach up to only 33kbps. That’s in Compostale Valley.
How about in Camiguin or Samar or Palawan or Davao? Sigh. I wish someone from these places finds this post and tell me whether PLDT WeRoam can be a good traveling friend for my laptop. I’m a newbie with these kinds of services and my laptop is a virgin.
