No that’s not a misspelled H-U-M-P! Hmp as in a Filipinos expression of annoyance.

I stopped minding this blog’s nonexistent pagerank since my TLA earnings wasn’t that much affected. But the traffic.. goodness… The traffic on my new blog. Oh did I already mention that I got a new blog? I’m now a part of the Know More Media family and I’m maintaining Productivity Goal.

Just when I thought I can start saving up for a MacBook Air just so I can use Office 2008 for Mac (want some of its Excel Ledger Sheets), Google surprised me again with its annoying dance, which left my blog’s traffic heading south!

Hmp! Hmp! Hmp!

A few days after writing a post about my need for a laptop, and thinking about it a lot of times (about four times), and checking which laptops rock for a non-graphics-designer like me, I’d gladly let the sales clerk from Accent Micro swipe my BPI credit card and grabbed a Black MacBook Pro with Leopard!

A brand new laptop is one of my top must-have gadgets when I started dreaming designing my home office. However, the year’s almost over and I haven’t even decided yet what brand with what specs to get!

When typhoons Lando and Mina went Fujiwara’ing, can’t help but worry a great deal about my work. I can sense that series of brownouts everyday or so are about to happen. And guess what? I haven’t heeded Gab’s suggestion yet about getting an inexpensive generator. So I believe I could at least get myself an extra and more useful tool to extend my online presence and probably help me get a feel of my new goal – mobile working.

Although I’m dying to, I won’t be able to buy it asap because of some financial trouble that I’m praying hard to get over and done with within this week. But by hook or by crook, I’m sure I’ll be able to gift myself with one on my birthday. Haha!

So dear walk-in visitors, email and RSS feed subscribers and passersby from search engines, would you mind telling me about your laptop brands and their specs? What would you recommend for a writer/virtual assistant like me?

This whole week I’ve been busy with a number of Instant messenger interviews, fixing some content writing problems, and some project planning.

I don’t want to elaborate on the bad part of my week so I’ll just focus on the good part – lovely new projects! After less than two months of bidding on projects, I was able to win five, which I think is not too bad because one of the clients is sending me tasks to work on almost every week. Also, I now have this new recurring task that’s rekindled my obsession with forums.

Ok I know, I know you’ve now had enough of my bragging…

Most of these new projects are from oDesk buyers. I recently won a few fixed price projects and some hourly rate projects. Most of them involve content writing and online marketing. So this is for new oDesk providers planning to offer content writing and/or Internet marketing projects, particularly search engine optimization (SEO).

It’s Technology Talk Thursday and what a timely act from one of my favorite productivity (although sometimes it can be time-wasting, too, you know..) online tools – the lovely Bloglines RSS reader.

Aside from backpains what can confirm that I’ve sitten too long on my home office chair are those pains on my arse. I’m sure you feel those, too. Don’t deny it!
