Some despise having to come up with New Year’s resolution every January 1 or a day or so before it. I hated it when I was still in school especially during my elementary and high school years when it’s required to come up with a page-long essay about New Year resolutions and how to accomplish them.
But now that I’m no longer forced to sit down and list down these goals or plans for New Year, I’m actually eagerly looking forward to write down New Year’s resolutions!
No matter how many people say that it’s not advisable to just think of your goals during this time of the year, I like the excitement it brings and the fervent hope that dawns upon me (don’t mind these trying hard poetic words) whenever I write New Year’s Resolutions for [insert coming year] 1. Lose weight 2. Get into a new hobby/sports 3. Study HTML, etc.
How about you? What do you feel when you hear/read New Year resolutions? Do you still make them?

I was cooking some blog posts for this blog but something’s keeping me from posting them.
Now before you hit the exit tab, check out these blog posts I wrote for other blogs:
ManageMyIdeas Productivity Tool – I’m the new blogger for Know More Media’s Productivity Tool.
Roundup of Ways to Make Money Online 2007 – a list of make-money-online techniques that I found popular this year.
Go and see what’s keeping my blog world busy these past few days.
Turk Hit Box is giving away free Custom WordPress themes to those who want a blog re-design.
I’ve been ranting about it for quite some time and again – I need one! But check out the requirements to know why this blog’s not qualified to get a custom WordPress theme:
1. You blog should have at least a Pagerank of 4.
2. Your blog must be older than 8 months.
3. Your rss subscriber count should be more than 50.
4. You cannot remove the footer link, “designed by Turk Hit Box”.

Peace on earth? Sure we all wish for that to happen but not just during the holidays, right? And besides I’m not asking Miss Congeniality to answer the question for this week.
I wish to receive Amazon’s Kindle (no matter how ugly everyone finds it) and/or a Nokia e61i. Imagine just how many ebooks I can finally read with the Kindle!
Now I’m asking everyone who gets to read this, what is that thing, gadget, book, or anything that you wish to receive or you’re planning to get for yourself this holiday season?
….look at my sidebar. It’s gone!
I broke my blog design again. Any WordPress theme designers, out there? I need your help badly. And I have other blogs that need fresh designs.
Here are the major requirements:
- CSS skills
- basic SEO (navigation/usability, URL structures, redirects, robots.txt, meta tags)
- WordPress theme
- PayPal button setup
- Graphics design
If you think you’re familiar with all of those technicalities that my poor brain can’t handle, I so need you! Send me an email at alfamercado @ gmail dot com asap.
Thanks!
A few days after writing a post about my need for a laptop, and thinking about it a lot of times (about four times), and checking which laptops rock for a non-graphics-designer like me, I’d gladly let the sales clerk from Accent Micro swipe my BPI credit card and grabbed a Black MacBook Pro with Leopard!
Green with envy yet?
