Q n A: Online Jobs
I’ve been receiving emails about ways to find home-based/online jobs, and I thought I’d share them here.
Greetings!
I am one of the people who visits your site regularly. I am interested to try working homebased. But first i would like to try to do data entry jobs though I don’t have any idea how to go about it. I tried going to some other sites but it seems that they require people to pay first.
And what about the pay or salary? How do they usually send payments? How sure am I to receive it? I am so sorry to bother you with my questions but I would greatly appreciate it if you respond.
Thank you very much and God bless you.

Hi Gladys,
Have you worked as an admin assistant or a secretary? These are the usual types of job experiences that people wanting to hire home based data entry workers are looking for. However, even a student can find data entry work if he or she knows where to find them and how to emphasize to clients that he/she can get the job done.
Re sites that require payment, most of them are just scams. For starters, you can look for data entry jobs using free job listing sites like Bestjobs.ph and http://manila.craigslist.org/. I also recommend online marketplaces like oDesk.com.
The pay depends on the client-contract worker arrangement. It can be an hourly thing or a fixed pay project.
In my experience, I started by just purely following my guts. Although I have encountered clients that don’t pay, I’m fortunate that most of my clients DO pay.
But if you have the skills to boast that you’re confident that you can deliver quality work on time and you don’t want to take any chances, you can ask for upfront payment, say a percentage of your agreed price. Although this will be more difficult if you were hired to get paid by hour.
You can use payment processors like *Xoom.com, *MoneyBookers.com and PayPal.com. Service charge rates vary.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

For me, I say make payment easy for the client and be willing to be of service. Working online is less or a salary-type job and more of a business so you must think of the customer always.

Hi Laura,
Wow, your reputation as a work-at-home expert seems to be pulling in more than what you bargained for. Maybe a job referral business ain’t that bad in the near future?
