Tell Me What Tuesday: What’s the One Business Chore You Hate the Most?
No matter how much I love working from home, there’s this one task that I always dread doing – sending out invoice emails.
I’m afraid of interchanging the invoices of some of my clients or sending out invoices that will never get paid. It happened to me AGAIN a month ago – the never getting paid part. It’s so frustrating because I’ve been working with this client for quite some time now and then poof! — the magic dragon never said hi or hey to me again. It affected my cash flow a great deal!
And to think I’ve just blogged about how to prevent client-caused stress a few weeks before it happened. I’ve learned my lesson – intuition can betray you, too – the hard way.
How about you? What’s that business task you like the least?

Google is Punishing TLA Publishers through PageRank Decrease
I can’t believe my eyes when I glanced upon my pagerank toolbar today and saw that this blog went down from PR3 to PR2. From what I’ve accomplished with this blog for the past few months – more frequent posting and more linkbacks, I actually expected the pagerank to increase.
Cashquests’ post about Google penalizing link sellers popped into my head and when I checked out the state of the blogosphere if there more cases of this type, I whew-ed when I’ve learned that it’s not just me. Here are other bloggers’ pagerank decrease mentions:
Google PageRank Update and Its All Down
Google Declares Jihand on Blog Link Farms
But you know what? I have noticed that my Google-referred traffic is actually doing great. So I’m not really worried about that. I just hope that Text-Link-Ads will modify its blog appraisal tool.

Text-Link-Ads Turned AuctionAds to ShoppingAds
After discovering this sweet news from TLA’s Patrick Gavin a few minutes ago, I can’t help myself but to blog about it right away.
Text-Link-Ads launched its CPC ad program called ShoppingAds. This not-so-new ad program (it’s AuctionAds re-programmed) will show image ads with a text description on a blog. Each time a visitor clicks on the ad, you will get paid 20 cents on average.
ShoppingAds is more lovable than AuctionAds because of the pay-per-click model. AuctionAds didn’t entice me because it’s NOT PPC. But now that TLA turned this frog into a prince, I’m kissing it. Huh?
Kidding aside, payout will be sent through PayPal only for this month. Although it will offer other payment methods next month, this time I didn’t have to wait because PayPal Philippines is here!
If you’re wondering if it will violate the AdSense TOS, no it won’t. That’s according to the email announcement.

Tell Me What Tuesday: Do You Think this Blog Needs a Re-Design?
It’s been months since I last changed the WordPress theme of this blog. But no matter how I love this Digg-like theme, it now looks a bit tired. Do you think so, too?
What changes would you like to see on this blog design-wise? I’m planning to use an original blog design. So yeah, this time I’m spending to get this blog look a bit rocking.
I definitely need your help on this because this blog is yours, too. Tell me.

Not Sure if Your Cover Letter Will Get You that Interview?
I’ve seen so many downright annoying cover letters myself. Some have even reached the pathetic level with that txt msg (text message) spelling syndrome. Although I’m proud to say that my cover letters have improved dramatically, thanks to the bad cover letters I get a lot, I also know that there’s always room for improvement.
Now if you’re like me who could make use of more cover letter tips OR if you’re one of the recently-enlightened ones who finally realize that it’s your cover letter that’s keeping you from bagging those great jobs, get some help from the master professional blogger and freelance writer – Deb Ng’s Cover Letter Clinic.
