Another Family Member Bitten By the Work-at-Home Bug
My sister-in-law who’s been working for a few weeks now as a virtual assistant doing telemarketing and data entry tasks for an American businesswoman, will be getting her first pay today! That is, if she finds any open Xoom cash pickup location on a Sunday. We’re really crossing our fingers!
After so many sleepless nights of waiting for her daughter to sleep so she can concentrate on sending applications and getting interviewed by a number of people looking for virtual assistants, she finally got hired by one client.
And just after two weeks, she was able to find two more clients! Quite a fast-learner, don’t you think? I’m so proud of her. Also, finding a home-based job that will enable her to earn money while being there for her daughter is a great birthday gift for her. She’ll be celebrating her birthday tomorrow, August 13!
If you haven’t checked out yet my service page, I’ve updated it a few days ago, adding customer service (email and call support), which is her forte, since we’re planning on teaming up as virtual assistants.
Since we work in the same home, now I have someone to share my emergency tools expenses with.
Haha!

It is good to read some of those ahead of us making it big. It makes us beginners in the field of VA inspired to go on. Thanks for blogs like this.

Hi Rennan,
The virtual assistant industry is still so young in the Philippines. More room for more of us.
Do you have a blog, too?

Quick question I’m hoping you can assist with. I’m in the process of launching a new website and will require some help. I’ll need someone who’s good at research, answering emails and have skills to help others with their resume and other job/career related skills. The goal is to outsource this job for a few hrs a day so I can have spare time to follow other projects I want to launch.
My questions is this…
How much can I expect to pay for such outsourced work?
Regards
Chris
