Top Productivity Tools of the Work at Home Pinay
Shai’s Open Mic Monday Top Making Money Online Tools version got me too giddy I decided to post my own tools here.
I’ve always labeled myself as a master multi-tasker. And so I think it’s high time to acknowledge the tools, except my PC, of course, that helped and are still helping me reach this level of busyness and career fulfillment:
1. My whiteboard which I’m going to replace with a bigger one soon – GTD tool. I can’t get enough of writing down my to-do lists, wish lists, brainstorm list and job-related whatnots on my whiteboard. No BaseCamp, GCal or Zoho Office can ever motivate me more to get more things done that my ever alarmingly busy whiteboard.
2. My N73, for texting clients and checking email while away from my PC. And, luckily, it still won’t allow me to receive or make calls. There’s something that my niece did to it.
3. My Lipitor timer-looking desk clock for timing my breaktime surfing, blog hopping, or Scrabble-ing time.
4. My Casio pocket calculator for billable hours computations and currency conversion brain-breaks (my euphemism for my laziness to compute). It rids me of the annoying two or three minutes it takes for my computer calculator to download.
5. And of course, BlogDesk for less-stressful multiple blogging experience. MSN Live Writer’s great. But it just keeps on making my computer hang whenever I use it. So bah-bye Live Writer. I hate to see you go.
What are your top productivity tools? What gadgets or appliances in your home office can’t you live without?
