Making Money from Blogging for Blog Networks
Just a few days ago, I announced my entry into a new world of blogging - blogging for blog networks.
My first venture is On Topic Media’s Orble Blog Community, where I am maintaining a bittersweet Bad Habit Blog namely AmVicious.
And, another one is for 451 Press, a blog about SEO (search engine optimization), SEO Dance.
If you are wondering how I will I get paid by these two blog networks? Orble is offering 50% advertisement revenue share and 451 Press is offering 40%. They will snail mail a check once my commission reaches $50. Oh, that reminds me I still have to fax my tax form and contract. 451 Press required a contract but Orble didn’t. I wonder what’s the norm?
However, for those who have no idea about how one can earn from blogging for blog networks, money don’t flow easily from blogging for blog networks as I’ve learned from reading from popular Filipino professional blog network bloggers like Jayvee Fernandez of Abuggedlife.
Content must be built first. And one should not be blogging about just any regurgitated news like many blogs are sporting nowadays. I understand the need for pillar content as how Yaro Starak of Entrepreneur’s Journey, would label those blog posts that make a blog stand out. Quality content, which would be of great help to potential readers of a blog’s niche or theme, will make traffic continue pouring in. And, of course, well-targeted traffic translates to more chances of getting Adsense clicks. So, you get the idea?
Enticed? Go try if you can win a blogging slot for blog networks. I was told that to up your chances of getting hired is to show your sheer passion for the blog topic you are aiming to blog about. And having a unique voice is a plus, too. (Whatever that means, hehe).
*Update: Erratum: It’s Jayvee Fernandez of abuggedlife.com not Hernandez. Sorry for the negligence of double-check duties.
