Homebased Job No. 3: Problogging
Have you heard about this new and interesting earning possibility for prolific writers who are quite comfy with the Internet? It’s known as problogging. Problogging or professional blogging is this new craft that many Filipinos are starting to get involved with.
Traditionally, blogs or web logs are known as online personal journals. But innovative minds made blogging more than an emotional outlet, it became a source of income. So, how does one earn from problogging?
1. Google Adsense Way and Referral Programs
Posting advertisements on your blog is one way to get some moolah. However, it’s not a surefire method due to its pay-per-click system. One must have a good number of readers, particularly targeted readers before one can earn from this scheme. Google Adsense is not the only source of this ad placement income. Chitika and Textlinks may be considered, too. Niche blogs or those that are focused on certain topics that interest most a certain group of people are those that do best on this kind of earning system.
2. Getting Hired by Blog Networks
Blog networks such as B5media and Creative-Weblogging employ people to blog about a certain subject that they have expertise on. The pay depends on the blog network (profit sharing, page impression or a monthly rate.)
If you are interested in this kind of gig, you might want to try these blog networks who are looking for bloggers:
3. Subscription or Donation
If one can provide quality content at a regular basis, he or she can offer such service for a fee. Payment could be done through various online payment methods, i.e., paypal, xoom, credit cards, etc. One may require readers to pay a subscription fee or may simply put “donate if you love this blog” box aka tip box.
Problogging is not a job that you can be successful with in a wink of an eye. It requires undying passion for whatever you choose to blog about, frequent update of your content, and a good networking system.
